LCASP Programme

The Welsh School of Architecture is launching its Low Carbon Architecture Summer Programme (LCASP) taking place from 13th to 27th July 2013 in Cardiff, UK.

Low Carbon Architecture Summer Programme (LCASP) is dedicated to the theme of low carbon design. LCASP is designed to bring architectural undergraduate and recent graduate students from various backgrounds and cultures to learn more about designing ‘Low Carbon Buildings’ that mitigate climate change .

The programme is designed for those who are interested in and would like to learn about the principles and tools of low carbon design, key lessons from low carbon buildings, fundamentals of energy use and renewable energy technology.

Students will benefit from the lively and thought-provoking atmosphere of the lectures, workshops and UK experts and practitioners’ experience in environmental and low-carbon design.

Themes discussed include: passive and low energy architecture, monitoring low carbon buildings, achieving the Code for Sustainable Homes, building rating tools (BREEAM, LEED, etc)  amongst other topics.
